Do you need somewhere safe to stay right now?

If you’re 16 to 21 and have nowhere to go, Our Place Peel can help.

At our Emergency Shelter in Mississauga, you’ll find safe shelter, a warm bed, and a hot meal waiting for you any time of the day or night.

We know you’ve got a lot on your mind. We also know it’s easiest to work things out when you’ve got a roof over your head, food in your stomach and the support of people who care about you.

Last year, we provided shelter and counseling to 543 youth. We can help you take charge of your life and find a safe alternative to life on the streets, too.

We’re here 24/7. If you need somewhere safe to stay, our doors are always open to you.

Are you ready to take charge of your life? Do you need a safe place to live while you go to school or work?

If you’re 16 to 21 years old, want to take control of your future, and need somewhere to stay, Our Place Peel’s residential program is right for you.

As one of 6 youth sharing a house in Brampton, you’ll be hands-on involved in the day-to-day running of the household. Under the supervision of one of our counselors, you’ll learn the skills you need to live successfully on your own, including budgeting, grocery shopping, banking, and meal preparation.

You’re welcome to live here for up to a year while you go to school or work. During that time, you’ll receive support and counseling to help you develop your confidence, make smart decisions and  build a stronger future for yourself.

Would you like to help troubled or homeless youth in our community?

Your life experience and support can make a real difference to a homeless or disadvantaged youth who feels like no one cares or understands.

Young people in the H.Y.P.E. (Helping Youth Prepare Effectively) program are taking big steps to turn their lives around. They’re going back to school or work and can really benefit from the leadership and mentoring of people who have been there before.

If you’re ready to help others make a new start, please consider being a Youth Ambassador for H.Y.P.E.
